History and Identity

Location and Mission:
Saint Anthony’s College Hammana is a secondary school located in the heart of Mount Lebanon. As a member of the Lebanese Maronite Order schools, it is dedicated to innovating education and providing an organized, accredited learning environment for the residents of the Aley and Metn districts.
Educational Structure:
The college offers an English section that spans from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and a French section from Grade 7 to Grade 12. This bilingual approach caters to a diverse student body and aligns with the school's vision as an international institution.
Achievements and Partnerships:
Saint Anthony’s College Hammana has been recognized for its excellence, winning the International School Award from the British Council for nine consecutive years (2012-2021). It has established partnerships with secondary schools in the UK and in Macon, France, and is part of the French Cultural Centre schools in Lebanon (CELF and Label France Education) accreditation.

Alumni Success:
Over the past 60 years, the school has graduated thousands of students who have gone on to pursue higher education at prestigious universities and have established successful careers in various fields, including electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering, medicine, and business management.
Academic Excellence:
Reflecting its mission to raise global citizens capable of tackling 21st-century challenges, Saint Anthony’s College has achieved notable academic success. Last year, the school had a 95% success rate in all official exams, with a 100% success rate in the General Sciences section. Additionally, one of its students, Rabih Abedl El Khaleck, ranked 10th in the Life Science section.
Recent Developments:
Under the leadership of Father Superior Charbel Assaf and the dedicated staff, the school has made significant advancements in teaching techniques and learning environments. These improvements include the addition of a language lab, a scientific laboratory, and digital equipment, contributing to an increase in student enrollment from 500 last year to 700 this year.
Community Engagement:
On March 1, 2024, Saint Anthony’s College is hosting a "Universities Fair" featuring the top 18 universities in Lebanon. This event, attended by 530 students from 12 public and private secondary schools, aims to help secondary students from the Aley and Metn regions choose suitable majors and career paths. The fair also provides support and guidance to the college's 40 senior class graduates.
